SupportFund appreciates the trust you place in our company and we are committed to protecting your privacy. To get the full benefit of our website we ask you to give us information at different points on our website. The Information You Give Us

This policy refers to all information collected on the SupportFund website. On our site there are pages where we ask you to enter information in order to receive specific services.

The only information that we require you to supply in order to register and participate in a fundraising campaign are:

  • Account name if a participant is under the age of 13
  • E-mail address for the person registering, must be 13 or older
  • Student’s name
  • Student’s teacher or class
  • Student’s join fundraiser code
  • Your choice of user name
  • Your choice of password

Optional information you may choose to provide:

  • Cell Phone Number
  • Profile Picture

Other types of information that may be requested of supporters are:

  • Billing Address
  • Shipping Address
  • Email address
  • Credit / debit card number and expiration date

How We Use This Information To Serve You

When you first register and join a fundraiser on the SupportFund site, we ask for your name, join fundraiser code, teacher, e-mail address, user name, and a password. We only require information that we reasonably need in order to administer the fundraising campaign you are participating in. Once you supply this information, you will receive a unique link to your personal fundraising page and you will be able to upload a profile picture if you choose. You will be able to give this link to friends and family and invite them to support your organization. If you choose to receive text notifications via cell phone we will never share your cell phone number with a third party and it will only be used for sending text notifications when someone supports the fundraising campaign in your behalf. You will also be able to monitor your progress throughout the campaign. For people viewing a participant’s personalized fundraising page, personal information provided will be used only for the processing of donations or fulfillment of items purchased. All information sent via e-mail will come directly from Support Fund or the organization you are supporting. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone else. All information on current and former members is retained in our database for customer service and state and federal compliance purposes.

Personally Identifiable Information

SupportFund does not share your personally identifiable information with third parties for promotional or other purposes unrelated to your fundraising activities. If you order a product, your name, address and e-mail address may be shared with the student you are supporting and the company that provides fulfillment services for that product. This kind of information is shared only to process your order and to provide you with better customer service.

Credit/debit card information

Credit/debit card information is never shared with outside parties for promotional or other purposes unrelated to the fundraiser you are supporting. As explained above, when you order a product online, we will ask for your name, shipping address, your phone number and credit/debit card information. This information will be used only to process your order and send you the product you requested. We will not share credit/debit card information with anyone else. As an extra precaution, SupportFund uses the latest SSL encryption technology for a secure online payment environment.

Children Online Privacy Protection

Our fundraising website is a general audience site and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Our website is intended to be used by Parents/Guardians of fundraising participants and/or participants that are over the age of 13. By completing the registration process, you are agreeing that you are over the age of 13. Any personal information of fundraising participants can only be entered by a registered Parent/Guardian or participant over the age of 13. Any images of children are protected by the latest SSL encryption technology and are only accessible via your unique personal fundraising link. You can edit and/or remove any personal information (name or photo) for a fundraising participant at any time by logging into your dashboard and editing your profile.

How To Manage Your Account Information

To change your personal information, including your name, participant’s name, and password, log in and edit your profile on your dashboard page. Change you make are effective immediately. To change other information contact us via email.

We also take every precaution available to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. This includes physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard all the information stored on our servers.
